Hi Gary. Just registered and hope the site goes well. I use a few cycling and camping forums and have done less riding than I should have done over the last year or so. I am mainly a recumbent rider these days, bike and trike, so would be interested to hear fromother similar people. All the best

Hi All,
If you visit some of the other forums you might have seen me lurking about on them from time to time. I ride an Ice S , I only got it on Saturday from a bloke in Ireland, a PDQ recumbent, also a Trek road bike which hasn't seen the road since Nov 2004 when I got the 'bent bug. I'm getting back into touring this year, last biggish ride I did was to Carmarthen 7 years ago, a York to MK ride and the E2E in '93.
The site looks good
Rich.

Hi Gary, Just registered. I am about to take up cycle touring with tent. Got all the gear, mostly & researching madly. Just awaiting the bike which is on order. Rode a bike as a boy but only the odd leisure ride since - so need to train up. Ultimately I want to go to France etc. Very excited. Have suggested a recipe. Like the site. Its simple & friendly. mike

Hi Gary Your site is certainly attracting the attention of touring cyclists! There are many of us out here, using bikes to travel all sorts of distances. I use a solid Raleigh Royal tourer (43000m in 10 years!) or else a Brompton (combined with train or coach for distance travel). Either is capable of 100-mile day rides, or shorter when I'm sightseeing!

Hi Gary, Great site! I ride a Revell Romany which I've had since 1978 & also a Ridgeback, done lots of touring in this country over the years, John O' Groats - Lands End etc., but always stayed at hotels & BnB's, like Mike (see his post ) this year it's going to be a tent & more freedom, maybe Europe.
Stay Safe, Steve G (Manchester).

Hi I've camped a lot over the years. Mostly in Europe on a motor cycle. But now I've bought this Merida Speeder T1 that has the bolt holes for panniers, and I find it not too difficult to ride and in the cupboard a few feet away is all the lightweight stuff to camp with so it does seem logical to use it. I'm not fit enough yet to go far but will try a few places in Lancashire and Cheshire this year. Hopefully I can then go further as I get stronger. So while I haven't as yet toured I will soon and wish all of you many happy rides. Michael
