Does anybody else subscribe to Cycling World. First and for most this is a great magazine if you don't subscribe I recommend it to you. But I am going to have a good old moan I often have to ring to chase my copy and the month of September wasn't even published I still haven't received Octobers The publishers dint even contact subscribers to inform them of alleged print problems. Suggestion to the editor find a decent publisher or your subscriptions will go down. I hate moaning but I just want my copy on time each month I have spoken to the publishers but they just keep saying sorry. Well that doesn't cut anymore cause Ive heared it to many times. Mr Moaning Gary. Now I feel bad!

Hi Guys! This is the self-employed freelance CW Editor writing: if you have problems over the subscription to CW please email henri@cplmedia.co.uk as she deals with the database. Now, regarding the Sept/Oct issues: I too get frustrated when the magazine is ready to go out print but is delayed by the publisher! Consequently, I have to rewrite parts when an issue is lost. So, Sep/Oct is out as a combined month, and Oct became Nov; after that it will be Dec/Jan, as getting anything printed over the Christmas period is a no-no! Incidentally, please note that we have a new email address for the Editor, at cw.editor@yahoo.co.uk as the cplmedia site is a mess at times!
After that addition to your moan, let me say that I'm glad you find the magazine so enjoyable - I have certainly enjoyed my 2+ years as editor, despite the frustrations! We are also getting a good response from potential advertisers at the recent Cycle 2007 show at Excel in London, which will ensure decent financing for the forseeable future.
Keep on spreading the good word!

Is there any sort of web presence for cycling World? I've never seen the magazine and, with the above moans, I am loathe to send money until I know what I am getting. Always on the lookout for new cycling publications though.

Mike Thanks for the reply I understand the frustrations it would help when problems arise that cpl media were more help full they are very none plus over the phone and they could inform subscribers if there is going to be no magazine. I must stop this moaning it cant be good for my blood pressure. On a positive note of recent weeks there have been few or no readers letters etc Do you struggle for content if so I would be happy to put an editorial on the website for you if you think this may help. Or other suggestions? Thank you again Gary

Gary I will shortly be relinquishing the Editorship of CW - Stephen Dyster will be taking over and should be approached in this matter. Our new email is cw.editor@yahoo.co.uk It is amazing how few letters are received by the magazine - we usually publish every one, unless they are totally libelous! Unfortuanately for us, CPLMedia own the magazine, and we just have to cope! The full-time staff are hardly treated a lot better. Mark

Mark I hope you will continue to contribute to cycling world you articles are always good to read and I am sure they inspire all of us to get out and ride more I will email Stephen. Also I hope you will continue to contribute to this forum. Just as you will have more time on your hands doesn't mean you can spend it all on your bike. oh OK maybe it does. Gary
PS: Mark it appears I owe you an apology I have been calling you mike for some strange reason I will now correct this.

Gary You will probably get fed up if I contribute all the time on this board! I expect to pedal the lanes rather than peddle the lines next year but will still be scibbling my mite for CW at a slower rate! Virtually all my material has now been used up (only two left, I think) so will have to escape before you-all can join me in CW! And not all on the Brompton! Still to be published is the ride through Birmingham, where the laden touring bike (Raleigh Royal) didn't fit through the cycle-proof barriers! Urggggghh.
