All those that are cycling to York should really join the Fell Club as well and then they have access to a lot of small, off the track sites. Generally do a Block Booking at York and meet up so I'm going to be there this year again.

Could you please provide the web address for the fell club. Or a link will do nicely.

I hope to be at the York Rally with the Fell Club. Although I have ridden to this in the past, this year I will go by coach (this is within the Fell Club rules!) as I cannot spare the 3 days each way riding time. Brompton in bag, hope also to have some extra time there to explore the Vale of Mowbray and take the bike to Brompton-on-Swale! Before then I will be doing a canal/bike cruise on the Kennet & Avon! courtesy of www.drifters.co.uk for a CW article.

If you fill in the form in the ctc magazine the fell club introduction letter will tell you who to send it to.

Send it to Maggie Renn. Her details are on the meetings page of the Fell Club website. www.fellclub.org.uk

Pedaldog, did you get your pitch number? Mine is LW 67 I think, although the L is a squiggle, so I might be wrong! (it could be an S or a G, but I thought L for lightweight made sense!)

Hey you two, behave yourselves we don't want you to get the Fell Club a bad name. I can do that without your help.

BAD ONE! Set off out yesterday on the Trice, loaded for Bear. Made it as far as Gargrave, we did about 42 miles in total, and then had a really bad night. Ended up having to get brother out to pick us up in a van this morning so I am just home and not feeling so good! If I make it to York I will be on a train to Leeds with the folding bike and ride the last 25 miles. Not 100% sure I will make it though at the moment! If I don't get there I hope all have a good time and I'll speak soon.

hi butterfly, i've packed about 5 times over, but still seem to have a lot of stuff to carry on the poor bikeE. be my first time at york cycle thingy and first time sleeping in a tent! looking foreward to it though. i've made a big VELOCIDAD flag, so hopefully some of the crowd from this and the velovision forum will spot me and come over for a chat. hope to see you there butterfly-you going on the velovision pub ride? hi pedaldog, sorry to hear you're not so good, i can empathise with a medical problem that's all up and down. really hope to see you at york. cheers, velocidad.

I'm hoping to go to the velovision pub ride. You don't need as much as you think you do Velocidad! (you only need sleeping bag, mat, kettle, tent, 1 change of clothes, cooker and lamp - everything else is a luxury!) Pedaldog, I'm sorry to hear about your rotten day. I hope you feel better. Get a train to York and only ride a couple of miles. (Then convince everyone the reason you look so tired is because you cycled all the way in one day! )

Sorry to say that Pitch #66 will be empty this year. Saw the doctor early this morning and he told me not to try anything for a week or two. Annoyed as I've made it all the way for the past 4 years but I am just not well enough to enjoy being away from home for the weekend. I hope you all have a really good time and that the weather stays fair for you. See you next year?

I hope you're feeling better and got some sleep last night velocidad. I hope you're feeling better and not too upset that you couldn't come, we missed you, Pedaldog. I'm recovering from having tried to cut my thumb off with my penknife yesterday. I couldn't ride the laden bike, so Tourist Tony carried my panniers on his bike to the station in York, another gentleman called Tony helped me off the train in London and my sister collected me from Kings Cross and then drove me to Sussex this afternoon. Maybe there is something in the air at York! It was lovely to meet everyone who made it!
