Hello Fellow Tourists, I am planning to make a trip across Russia in 2009 with one other friend and am looking for advice from others who may have already ridden across Russia or ridden in the Eastern parts of the country. As I understand it the West is the most populated and most ridden. From my searches online I have run into a few individuals who have ridden the country, but they all seem to have taken a southern route across. My curiosity mostly resides in the northern latitudes and desolate areas. Any information about others journeys and potential roads would be very helpful. I would love to hear about peoples recent crossings at boarders in and out of Russia too. thanks for taking the time to read my entry. I hope to hear about your journeys. Joe Taylor

Wow, Everyone must think I'm a bit crazy! 26 viewers and 0 replies. Has anyone cycled in Russia or Mongolia? I am also quite reserved about my expectations of cycling in China. I have seen how big the cities can be, but know little of the quality of cycling. I can only imagine they make plenty of room for bike riding since there are so many people who need to get around. Any help will be appreciated greatly!
Thanks
Joe
