a while ago I bought a Rocky Mountain Trail Head Mtb. It was the 2004 model and I got it for £600-00 in Feb' 2005. Hardtail with front suspension forks, Deore drivetrain, good brakes and a lovely frame Hand Made in Canada. Due to owing a huge amount of money to one of my brothers and looking for anything that would help reduce the debt I let my nephew have the bike for £300 when it was 6 months old. He used it a lot, he is 15 years old, and rides pretty hard. I wanted another decent Mtb and I mentioned this. My brother said that his son would probably let me have the bike back as he was thinking more of a road bike now. I agreed to do a deal and I went to pick it up today. The boy must make things dirty and worn out as a profession! Front mech' seized up solid with dirt and grime. Brake pads worn to their limit and beyond. More chips and scratches than I could imagine and, even though I rarely clean bikes, More dirty oil and grime than the average back street garage! Thing is.... I am happy again as I have my old bike back and it is going to Other Brother in a few days for a total fettling and clean up ready to be used in public again. I have the GRIN. All I need now is another Bob-Yak trailer as I sold the last one unused.

PD. You must stop all this buying and selling at a loss, it does you finances no good at all. The idea is to at least sell for what you paid. Better still make a profit.
